Bia Power has initiated the development of three battery storage projects in Italy by securing the sites and the grid connection agreements from TERNA.

EREN, via its subsidiary EREN Storage Italia, recently acquired a majority stake in these three projects to partner with Bia Power on the development, construction and long -term operation of the plants. The permitting process is now underway for two out of the three sites.

Bia Power Group is a Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and renewable power development specialist with strong experience in the development of BESS Projects in the UK and Italy since 2017.

Bia Power is currently developing additional BESS projects in Italy for a capacity of up to 750MW for which the existing partnership with EREN Storage Italia could be extended.

EREN Storage Italia focuses on the development, construction and long-term operation of grid-connected battery projects in Italy to address the challenges of renewable intermittency and support the energy transition.
