CIMINNA

The Ciminna BESS project located in the township of Ciminna on a 6.73 acre (2.7 hectare) plot of agricultural land. The site is 0.5km from the 150kv Ciminna substation, 1km from Ciminna itself, and 26km from Palermo, the capital of Sicily in South Italy. Its proposed capacity is 100mw /400mwh. An application for authorisation was prepared and submitted to the Sicilian Department of Energy in July 2024.

CHIARAMONTE

The Chiaramonte BESS project is located adjacent to the Chiaramonte Gulfi 150kv substation 15km from Ragusa in Sicily in South Italy. It is on a 6.27 acre ( 2.5 hectare) plot of land and it’s proposed capacity is 76mw/ 304mwh. The site is predominantly agricultural. An application for authorisation was prepared and submitted to the Sicilian Department of Energy in July 2024.

SCANDALE

The Scandale BESS project is located on agricultural land in the municipality of Crotone in Calabria, South Italy. The proposed capacity is 88mw/ 352mwh. The application for authorisation is being prepared and we plan to submit it in April 2025 to the Ministry of Sustainability and Energy in Rome. The connection point is less than 2kw away in a new TERNA substation

CIMINNA EXTENSION

The Ciminna extension is a 100mw 4 hour battery project on a 5 hectare plot of land on either side of the original Ciminna site. It is located in the township of Ciminna, an Italian municipality in the Metropolitan City of Palermo, around 30 km south-east of the provincial capital. The site is on agricultural land, and is 0.5km from the 150kv Ciminna substation as the crow flies.

TARANTO- PASQUALE

The Taranto-Pasqaule site is a 100mw 4 hour battery project on a 5 hectare plot of agricultural land. The site is located in the township of Taranto in the Puglia region in the South of Italy. It is 1.9km south of the TERNA “Taranto Nord” Electrical Substation.

TARANTO- GIUSEPPE

The Taranto-Giuseppe site is a 13.6 hectare site on agricultural land. The proposal being developed is for a 150mw 8 hour battery project. The site is located 1.75 kilometres east of Acciaierie d’Italia S.p.A, near Strada Statale 172, in the township of Taranto in Puglia in the south of Italy. This is the largest site being developed in the Bia Italia pipeline. The closest Terna substations are 2km, 3km and 7km away.
