BiaPower Italia srl is a company dedicated to the development, construction and long-term operation of Battery Energy Storage System (“BESS”) projects in Italy that address the problems of renewable energy intermittency and support the energy transition.
BiaPower Italia’s first projects, which are being developed in partnership with Eren Storage Italy, an entity owned by Eren Industries (https://www.eren-groupe.com/en), have a combined capacity of 264MW, and are spread across three greenfield projects currently under development in southern Italy, two in Sicily and one in Calabria.
Bia Power Italia srl intend to continue developing additional BESS project capacity in other regions of Italy up to a target of 750mw.
Bia Power Italia is part of the Bia Group which is undertaking development operations in Scotland, England and Italy. Bia Group will become a BESS operator in Europe once the sites in Italy are constructed.
